Anja, despite being small in stature, is a reassuring presence on the field. She will catch virtually all the swill that comes her way, and there's a lot of it, and has the presence of mind under pressure to back it up with a safe and reliable throw.

Women like Anja are playing a crucial role in the development of the sport. She is coaching girls at a local Girls Grammar, and encourages female university players to come down and play for the Open team.
