What Dan doesn't know about being cool isn't worth knowing. He DJs, he smokes, he rides around on a bike in dayglo high-vis outfits and yet makes even that look good. He claims he's a teacher, but he's clearly too young for that. Nope, we suspect he's a spy. Or a highwayman. Something dashing, roguish, a bit of a diamond in the rough.

Dan's a bit like James Bond, although he couldn't kill a man and probably doesn't have a licence to kill.

He gets very pissed off when he makes mistakes, which makes some of the other players smile inwardly, because they enjoy watching people suffer.

Dan was seen at training a few months ago, when he arrived looking very tanned and announced he had recently completed the Camino de Santiago, which is a pilgrimage (to the Tomb of St James) across Northern Spain. We haven't seen much of him recently, which suggests he has ascended into heaven. Good for him, bad for us.
